Mr. Brindley De Zylva
Chairman

Mr. de Zylva is the Chairman of the Board of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc. and LOLC Finance Plc. in Sri Lanka. He is also the Managing Director of LOLC Myanmar Micro-Finance Company Ltd. Prior to sitting as the Chairman of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc., Mr. de Zylva has plenty of overseas experience in both board and general management positions in 37 consecutive years of working in the Non-Bank Financial Services Industry (NBFI), including licensed finance companies, microfinance institutions, and specialized leasing companies. He has potent experience and expertise surrounding the NBFI sector covering credit and recovery management, finance, and marketing and sales. Mr. de Zylva is a fellow of the Sri Lanka Institute of Credit Management and was later selected as an Honorary Secretary in the 2010 institute election. Also, he was involved in the Council of Management of the Finance Houses Association of Sri Lanka, where he served nine years as a member – four of which as a vice chairman – and as a Director of the Financial Ombudsman Sri Lanka (Guarantee) Limited, in Sri Lanka. In 2015, these positions were handed over for Mr. de Zylva to oversee a regional assignment for the LOLC Group in Myanmar & Cambodia.

Mr. Conrad Dias
Director

Mr. Dias was the former Group CIO and Director of LOLC Holdings Plc., Director/CEO of LOLC Finance Plc., and the Co-founder of iPay. Mr. Dias graduated with his Master Degree from the University of Leicester majoring in business administration. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, a Chartered Global Management Accountant, a fellow of British Computer Society and a fellow Member of Certified Management Accountant of Sri Lanka. Mr. Dias has contributed to the LOLC Group and the local IT Industry with his 30 years of experience and possesses domain expertise in sectors such as trading, banking and finance, asset management and manufacturing. In recognition of his contribution, he was awarded the CSSL CIO of the year award in 2016 and later awarded the professional Excellence Award in 2017 at the event organized by the Institute of Certified Management of Accountants of Sri Lanka. In 2020, a year of prize for Mr. Dias, he was inducted to the Global CIO Hall of Fame 2020 and is a winner of the Global CIO100 for the year 2020 from IDG USA.

Mr. Indrajith Wijesiriwardana
Independent Director

Mr. Wijesiriwardana is an Independent Director of LOLC (Cambodia) Plc. With more than 20 years of international experience in nearly 30 different countries, Mr. Wijesiriwardana is also a proficient consultant in international development finance. His experience covers key areas of expertise, including capacity building in the financial sector and Microfinance and SME Finance (MSME). Mr. Wijesiriwardana is also highly skilled in strategy and business design, developing inclusive financial systems, developing capacity in financial institutions focusing on MSME, institutional transformations, and product design and process improvements. During his career in the banking sector, he used to develop and evaluate project proposals and monitor projects before being a consultant. During this time, he was responsible for loan financing for small, medium, and large enterprises; trading financing; equity financing; restructuring; loan syndication; and leasing. He also took charge of managing and developing financial support services, including budgeting and monitoring, planning, accounting, and MIS. Mr. Wijesiriwardana joined LOLC

Mr. Kamantha Amarasekera
Independent Director

Mr. Kamantha Amarasekera is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. He also holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and began his career in the year 1998.

Mr. Amarasekera is an eminent Tax Consultant and the Senior Tax and Legal Partner of M/s. Amarasekera & Company, a leading tax consultancy firm in the country. Other key appointments: Director - Kelani Tyres PLC, Lanka Milk Foods (CWE) PLC, Madulsima Plantations PLC, Balangoda Plantations PLC, Eden Hotel Lanka PLC, Ceylon Hotels Corporation PLC, Palm Garden Hotels PLC, AgStar PLC, Serendib Hotels PLC, Dolphin Hotels PLC, Hotel Sigiriya PLC, Hapugastenne Plantations PLC, Udapussellawa Plantations PLC and several other subsidiaries of Browns Investments Group.

Mrs. Nadika Opatha
Executive director

Ms. Nadika Opatha is an accomplished strategic leader with 28 years’ overall experience in the Financial Services Industry with over 20 years in the field of insurance in Sri Lanka and North America.

She is well versed in financial services, having obtained her Bachelors (B.Sc.) with a 1st class and with the objective of joining the zzmercantile sector, completed the Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Colombo. Ms. Opatha, having left university in 1997 joined LOLC Holdings as a Management Trainee. After a very successful stint she left LOLC in 2002 to join her husband in North America with their baby daughter.

She started working at the Insurance arm of the Royal Bank of Canada in 2002 as a Financial Advisor. During her tenure at the Royal Bank, she not only supported many Canadians to plan their financial goals but helped many migrant Sri Lankans to achieve their financial aspirations. She holds a Diploma in Investment Funds from the Institute of Canadian Bankers Association.

Ms. Opatha achieved Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) status in 2007 and 2008 in Canada while working for the Royal Bank Insurance Co, which is one of the highest achievements in the Life Insurance Industry, globally.

Being the only daughter of her family, she felt obligated of her duties towards her parents, hence she came back to Sri Lanka with her young daughter and husband to settle down leaving behind a very successful career in Canada. She re-joined LOLC in 2012 as the Head of Bancassurance and Corporate Sales of LOLC Insurance Company to set up Bancassurance and establish Corporate Sales.

Nadika has the honour of initiating and establishing sales channels in both Life and General Insurance companies of LOLC. LOLC Insurance companies have risen up to large sector Insurance providers in the Industry over the last 10 years under her stewardship and protects many large corporates as well as regional customers across the country with a regional branch network close to 100.

Her passion and commitment to her duties saw her rising fast in the career ladder to become the Chief Operating Officer of the insurance arm of LOLC group in 2019 and thereafter their first female CEO in 2020. She had the honour of becoming the first female Chief Executive Officer in the Sri Lankan Life Insurance Industry and the first woman Chief Executive Officer of LOLC Group.

In year 2021, Ms. Opatha was also appointed as the Executive Director of Serendib Micro Insurance PLC, Cambodia recognizing her role in setting up and initiating the operations of the first international Insurance arm of LOLC.

With her strong leadership and passion towards work, Ms. Opatha was appointed to the Board of LOLC Life Assurance Ltd as an Executive Director with effect from 1st September 2022.

She currently holds the position of the Treasurer at the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL). She is also a member of Women in Management Sri Lanka (WIM) and Mrs. Opatha holds the position of board member at International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICCSL)

Some of her accolades include being selected as the winner of “Best National Sales Head” at SLIM NASCO 2018 and was awarded “Career Role Model of the Year” at the Top50 Professional & Career Women Global Awards – 2023.

Mrs. Sunjeevani Kotakadeniya
Independent Director

Sunjeevani is a senior Finance professional with extensive management experience in Finance and Financial management practices in the financial services sector and other industries. She is a fellow member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), Chartered Global Management Accountant (USA). She also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Colombo. Over twenty years of senior management experience holding key positions in the Financial services industry especially in Insurance, Finance Companies, Factoring, Fund Management, Unit Trusts and Stock broking. Non-financial services sector experience includes Leisure, Trading, Manufacturing, Construction, Agriculture and Plantations and IT services industries. Sunjeevani is a catalyst in restructuring and change management, mergers and acquisitions and project management. Currently holding the position of Chief Financial Officer of Browns Investments PLC Group overseeing finance functions for the group locally and internationally. Sits on boards of several listed companies Agstar PLC, Seylan Bank PLC, Sierra Cables PLC
